Pittsburgh Struggles in 56-47 Loss To South Florida

In Pittsburgh on February 19th the Panthers fell to the Bulls, 56-47, in Big East play.

The expectation was that the Panthers could win this game. The Panthers lost to the Bulls earlier this season 63-51.

South Florida had solid performances in three-point shooting and defensive rebounding.

South Florida came down with many more defensive rebounds, 24 to 17, and that created more scoring opportunities. South Florida got too many quick points off threes, with 40% shooting from three-point range and 25% for Pittsburgh. A big issue for Pittsburgh was its 47 points. This came in way below its season average of 69.1.

J.J. Moore led the Panthers scoring with 21 points on 57% shooting in 31 minutes. Nasir Robinson added a game-leading 11 rebounds.
