StatSheet projects Pittsburgh as an NIT four seed. The Panthers are #92 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 15-11 overall record and a 4-9 record in the Big East.

Over the last four games, Pittsburgh picked up a quality win against RPI #38 West Virginia and a win against Villanova but also took on losses against RPI #31 Seton Hall and RPI #60 South Florida.

Pittsburgh struggles against strong competition, with a 5-9 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-6 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 1-3 record against AP ranked teams. While the Panthers have two quality wins including RPI #38 West Virginia and AP #10 Georgetown, they're also hampered by two bad losses including RPI #147 Rutgers and RPI #173 DePaul.
