| Three teams from the Big East find a home in this week's AP Top 25 poll. They are Syracuse at #2, Georgetown (#14), and Marquette (#15). One Big East team fell out of the poll this week. Connecticut had been ranked #24.
Syracuse moves up one spot in the poll following a week that began with a win at Cincinnati, 60-53. After that came another win at home against West Virginia, 63-61.
Georgetown moves down five places after a loss to Pittsburgh, 72-60. Marquette moves up two spots after wins against Villanova, 82-78 and South Florida, 67-47. Connecticut drops out of the poll after a loss to Notre Dame, 50-48. Gonzaga enters the Top 25 at #24 with a win at Portland, 74-62. Vanderbilt comes in at #25 with wins against Middle Tennessee State, 84-77 and Tennessee, 65-47. Kansas State falls out of the Top 25 this week with a win at Texas Tech, 69-47 and an upset loss at home to Oklahoma, 63-60.
Wisconsin is a big mover this week to #19 after an upset win at home over then-16th ranked Indiana, 57-50.
